Oh, she is BACK.
A few of y’all might remember back during the pandemic I had a blog called Candid at Midnight. I coped with the world shutting down by writing (mainly always around midnight hence the blog name) and put out blog posts, completely raw, unfiltered, and unapologetically me, for anyone who would read them. I LOVE to write and have been writing since I was a kid whether that be a blog post, a journal entry, creative writing, gratitude journaling, etc. We won’t talk about how I have a journal for quite literally anything you can think of.
A LOT has changed since then. Like a lot. A lot as in I moved cross country and back and then to a whole other state. I’m now currently in Northern Virginia, still working in the legal field but now in the federal sector (for now), I’m ENGAGED and met my now fiancé on Hinge of all places, and now currently working on completely rebranding myself and pursuing my writing while also incorporating my weekend warrior/nature aesthetic.
For obvious reasons, I’ve been working overtime trying to leave the federal sector. I’ve been applying for jobs and landing interviews so I’m hopeful that something will come out of it soon. With that being said, I have been extremely intentional with the jobs that I’ve been applying to. I want to slow down, I want a closer commute, I want to get away from the hustle and bustle and the constant urgencies (I get it, it comes with the territory), but man am I ready for some change. I don’t want to give too much away right now but my main priorities right now are my job search, my writing and my blog, planning the details of our wedding coming up soon, and something else _super exciting_ that I’m going to keep to myself for now because I’m currently juggling a million and one things and I am a TIRED GIRL. Just know that this blog is just the beginning…
Join me in walking my first steps towards intentionally chasing peace and escaping the hustle. Welcome to Unhurried Trails.
